How to Wear Summer Layers like a Fashion Blogger

The 4th of July is around the corner and the temperatures are rising! To inspire your summer wardrobe and keep you looking cool despite the heat, we’ve gathered a few images from fashion bloggers via Pinterest and recreated their magic using Front Door Fashion brands. The key to all of these looks is light layers. Layers can work in the summer if they are airy and breathable. We recommend cotton, linen or anything sheer. Scroll on to see our Pinterest blogger outfits come to life!

The Belted Blouse the Blogger Way

Our version of this look is slightly on the preppy side and perfect for brunch with friends! A light-weight top layers perfectly under this striped cotton blouse from Bailey 44. The dolman sleeve of this blouse gives a kimono effect, similar to the blogger photo on the left. A loose braided belt is a great option to define your waist. This particular one is cloth which is cooler than a thick leather belt. A simple bracelet can add your personal statement to the look. Pair this outfit with a light wash denim and a nude heel to bring it all together!

A Scarf and Kimono Combo

Think outside the box with this blogger-worthy look! Pair a kimono and a scarf over a light knit dress and again a belt at the waist. The kimono element of this outfit is sheer and keeps you covered while staying cool. Stick to a v-neck dress and a nude shoe to elongate your figure  so you don’t get lost in the prints. This look is easy and breezy, perfect for a day of shopping or a casual date night.

The Layered Button-Up

Layer your favorite button-up again here! Pair a loud printed kimono over a white blouse buttoned to the top. This will tame a wild print and make for a chic version of this boho staple. We’ve paired this look with red shorts to beat the heat this summer! This look is casual and great for an afternoon out and about  with friends or family.
