28 Jul 15 Summer Essentials
The heat is here! We’ve created a list of summer wardrobe essentials to make getting dressed in the summer feel like a breeze.
1. T-shirts
One of the most comfortable and versatile pieces for the season. The classic style can be paired with shorts, skirts, and pants. Keep it classic and easy to pair by going with neutrals, or go with a bold summer color to add excitement to your summer outfits.
2. Denim Jacket
The perfect layering piece to bring with you to wear in the chilly A/C or during cool summer nights. With a classic blue, you’ll never have to worry about if it will go with your outfit or not, trust us it will.
3. Slides
A go-to summer shoe because you can just slip them on and go! Both comfortable and stylish they can go with your summer dresses, shorts, or even your swimsuit by the pool.
4. Lightweight Button-Up
Versatile like the t-shirt, but adds a more polished touch to your look. Depending on your style you can go for crisp cotton or linen or a more relaxed fit with modal, tencel, or cupro. Check out our guide on how to create the perfect tuck with your button-ups.
5. Fashion Sneakers
White is always a classic choice for summer, but add in pops of color to spice up your summer footwear. Fashion sneakers can be paired with shorts and casual dresses. Great for going to summer concerts, theme parks, or exploring new cities on vacation.
6. Casual Shorts
Casual styles such as denim shorts, relaxed linen shorts, and cargo shorts are great for everyday wear. Create a simple summer outfit with your casual shorts, comfy tees, and summer slides.
7. Tailored Shorts
A little dressier option than the previous category of shorts, a tailored style can be dressed up for summer parties, nights out, and depending on your work environment you may even be able to style them with blouses for the office.
8. One-and-done Dress
When we are at the height of summer, sometimes we just want the simplest of outfits. Dresses are your answer for easy, stylish looks. With a variety of options, you can go with shirt dresses for work, knits for causal, or fitted for nights out. Your stylist can help you find the perfect style that will flatter your body and fit your lifestyle.
9. Maxi Dress
A little different from our one-and-done dress, because of the full-length style the maxi dress can easily be transformed for more formal occasions with the right accessories. It will be your go-to for vacations, weddings, and last minute summer events.
10. Sunglasses
The ultimate summer accessory. Not only are they stylish, but they are practical too!
11. Summer skirts
Mini, midi, and maxi are all in style this season! You can dress them up with blouses, camis, or button-ups or wear them casually with t-shirts and fashion sneakers.
12. Lightweight pants
If shorts aren’t your thing, no worries. There are a number of pant styles that will keep you cool in the heat. Wide legs, cargos, and silky styles that flow can all be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.
13. Kimono
Not just a style for those who love boho! This lightweight layer can come in a variety of colors and prints- there is a kimono for almost every style. Layer this lightweight style over dresses, tees, camis, and event swimsuits on vacation.
14. Cami
The sleeveless style will keep you cool when paired with pants, shorts, or skirts. You can dress them up without layers and pair them with heels or wear them casually under button-ups, denim jackets, or kimonos and style with sneakers.
15. Open-Toed Heels
Show off your summer pedicure with open-toed heels. Neutrals will pair well no matter if you are styling the heels for work, nights out, or events.
